Don’t Take a Bite

So many bright red apples on that tree

that will never be tasted

for the medicine they keep

That is how I feel inside

all of these branches of wisdom to provide

nourishment

and shelter within the heart

and a taste of what has always been

called sin

dying on the vine.

Truth drips in one bite- unforgettable

When was the last time you picked an apple from a tree?

No middle man corrupting

what is rightfully between you and God.

You will froth at the mouth

with a sweetness so foreign

it makes you wild and crazed

for true love again.

Beware of the untamed beasts

they will change the world.
